Jaime Moreno of South Plains (Texas) was named the 2024 NJCAA Division I Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Scholar Field Athlete of the Year. Moreno, who maintained a term GPA of 3.78, won the javelin at the 2024 NJCAA DI Outdoor Track & Field Championships. This is the second time in program history that an athlete from South Plains has been named National Scholar Athlete of the Year in track & field.
