JaQuavious Harris was named the 2024 NJCAA DI Men’s Cross Country National Athlete of the Year. Harris, who hails from Cheraw, South Carolina, captured the individual title at the 2024 NJCAA DI Cross Country Championships this past weekend in Mechanicsville, Virginia. The Salt Lake (Utah) CC star crossed the finish line in 23:30.7, more than two seconds faster than the runner-up in becoming the first repeat winner since 2016. Harris won three of the four meets in which he competed this season, never losing to another athlete from a two-year program. He also won this award last year.
