Jazmyn James of Iowa Western CC was named the 2023 NJCAA Division I Women’s Outdoor Track & Field National Scholar Field Athlete of the Year. James, who maintained a term GPA of 3.81, won the discus throw at the 2023 NJCAA DI Outdoor Track & Field Championships and finished second in the shot put.
