Macnider coached Harper (Ill.) to the team title at the 2023 NJCAA Division III Cross Country Championships. Led by fourth-place finisher Albert Szewczyk, the Hawks had all five scorers in the top-19 to score 53 points and win by 44 points. Harper also won the team title at the Region 4 Championships, scoring 30 points to win by 21 points.
