Josh Rivers was named the National Men’s Field Athlete of the Year for the 2022 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season. Rivers, who hails from Bolingbrook, Illinois, jumped high and far at the NJCAA DIII Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Troy, New York. He completed the high jump-long jump sweep with marks of 1.98m (6-6) and 7.17m (23-6¼), respectively. During the regular season, Rivers was ranked first nationally in both of those events. Rivers also never placed worse than third in any long jump competition this season against any level of competition.
