Karizma Brathwaite was named the National Women’s Track Athlete of the Year for the 2023 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season. Brathwaite, a freshman from Syracuse, New York, was the only female athlete to win multiple individual track titles at the 2023 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. She captured both the 100 and 200-meter crowns with marks of 12.24 and 25.19, respectively. Brathwaite entered the NJCAA meet as the national leader in both the 100 and 200 and was ranked in the top-5 of the 400.
