Ken Harnden, Auburn: 2024 NCAA Division I Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Assistant Coach of the Year

Ken Harnden was named the 2024 NCAA Division I Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Assistant Coach of the Year. Harnden, in his second year as assistant coach at Auburn, coached the Tigers’ sprinters and hurdlers to account for 36 of the team’s 40 points in finishing second at the 2024 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships. His 4×100 team won Auburn’s first NCAA title in the event, and his athletes set six program records, including the 13.18 by Ja’Kobe Tharp which broke a 46-year-old American U20 record.
