Lilly Alberts was named the 2024 NJCAA Division III Women’s Outdoor Track & Field National Track Athlete of the Year. Alberts, who hails from Richmond, Illinois, left her mark throughout the season – but especially at the 2024 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships. It was in Utica, New York, where Alberts set meet records in both the 400 and 800 meters at 55.85 and 2:13.78, respectively. Alberts also anchored Harper’s 4×800 relay to victory in 56.17. She entered the meet as the national leader in the 400 (56.09), 800 (2:10.81) and 1500 meters (4:40.25). She only lost one race this outdoor season, which came in a meet against runners from all collegiate divisions. Albert was named M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week twice this season (April 2 and April 29).
