Mohammed Kowa of Iowa Western CC was named the 2024 NJCAA Men’s Indoor Track & Field National Scholar Track Athlete of the Year. Kowa, who maintained a term GPA of 3.83, swept the 800 and 1000 meters at the 2024 NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. This is the first time in program history that a male athlete from Iowa Western has been named National Scholar Athlete of the Year in track & field.
