Nathan Ciarlette of Joliet (Ill.) JC was named the 2025 NJCAA Division III Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Scholar Track Athlete of the Year. Ciarlette, who maintained a term GPA of 3.65, won three events – the 800 meters, 1500 meters and 5000 meters – and ran on the winning 4×800 relay team at the 2025 NJCAA DIII Outdoor Track & Field Championships. This is the second time in program history that an athlete from Joliet has been named National Scholar Athlete of the Year in outdoor track & field as Collin Dames is the National Scholar Field Athlete of the Year.
