Sonya Urbanowicz of British Columbia was named the 2025 NAIA Women’s Outdoor Track & Field National Scholar Field Athlete of the Year. Urbanowicz, who maintained a cumulative GPA of 4.0, won the pole vault at the 2025 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. This is the third time in program history that a female athlete from British Columbia has been named National Scholar Athlete of the Year in outdoor track & field. Urbanowicz was a co-winner of the award last year along with teammate Rebecca Dutchak.
