Todd Linder was named the National Men’s Coach of the Year for the 2023 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season. Linder, in his tenth year with the MIT track & field program, led the Engineers to the team title at the 2023 NCAA DIII Outdoor Track & Field Championships. It is their first outdoor title in program history. MIT scored 60.5 points and totaled ten or more points in three events, which included event titles in the 110-meter hurdles, 800 meters and 1500 meters. The Engineers rolled to victories at both the NEWMAC Outdoor Championships and the New England DIII Outdoor Championships with title-winning margins of 126 points and 62 points, respectively.
