Trevon Hamer of Barton (Kan.) CC was named the 2025 NJCAA Division I Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Scholar Field Athlete of the Year. Hamer, who maintained a term GPA of 3.55, won the triple jump and finished runner-up in the long jump at the 2025 NJCAA DI Outdoor Track & Field Championships. This is the first time in program history that a male athlete from Barton has been named National Scholar Athlete of the Year in outdoor track & field.
