Wesley Miller was named the National Men’s Assistant Coach of the Year for the 2022 NJCAA Indoor Track & Field season. Miller, in his third year coaching the Texans’ sprints, hurdles, relays and middle distance, mentored his athletes to five wins at the 2022 NJCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships. The Texans’ dominance was most evident in the 400, 600, 800 and 1000, where South Plains had two of the top-6 in each event with eight different athletes. The Texans won event titles in five events that Miller coaches (400, 600, 800, 4×400 and 4×800).
