Final NJCAA DIII Rankings Give Insight To National Meet
NEW ORLEANS – For yet another week, the Harper Junior College men and the Suffolk County Community College women are the top teams in the NJCAA Division III National Coaches’ Rankings released Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Will both of those teams hoist their respective championship trophies next week after the NJCAA Division III Cross Country National Championships in Westfield, Massachusetts? That question will be answered after both races on November 7.

There will be several teams looking to make sure Harper and Suffolk don’t win.
On the men’s side, No. 2 Howard (Md.) Community College, No. 3 Mohawk Valley Community College, No. 4 Joilet Junior College and No. 5 SUNY Broome Community College have the best chance. Mohawk Valley will get a huge boost from standout Zakaria Djouma, who won every race he’s entered this season.
Then on the women’s side, No. 2 Harper Junior College, No. 3 Fashion Institute of Technology, No. 4 Joilet Junior College and No. 5 Ocean County Community College will all have their say. Don’t forget about Anne Arundel Community College either, a team that’s trending in the right direction at the end of the season and jumped from unranked to No. 7.
All of the races get underway next Saturday at Stanley Park.
