Indiana Tech ran away with the titles on both the men’s and women’s sides, and their totals in the All-America lists are just as impressive as their performances last weekend. The Warriors men’s squad had 17 athletes rack up 28 total All-America honors, while the women’s program tallied 16 honors spread across 11 athletes.
In all, 157 men captured 193 All-America honors over 43 different institutions, while 156 women won 206 honors across 43 schools.
Concordia (Neb.), who finished 2nd at the men’s portion of the meet, recorded 11 All-America honors, while women’s runner-up Oklahoma City notched 14 All-America honors.
Of the 313 total athletes to garner All-America status in the NAIA, only two total picked up the honor four times. Oklahoma City’s Aminat Olowora did so in the 3000 meters, 4×800 relay, distance medley relay and the mile on the women’s side. The lone male to accomplish the feat was Lucas Wiechman from Concordia (Neb.). He earned All-America status in the 60 hurdles, 4×400 relay, pole vault and heptathlon.
