

2023 NAIA Women’s Cross Country National Coaches’ Poll – Preseason
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Greatness is back.
Defending champion Taylor (Ind.) is a unanimous No. 1 in the Preseason edition of the 2023 NAIA Women’s Cross Country National Coaches’ Poll, which was released on Thursday by the NAIA National Office.
The Trojans were a dominant winner last year, tallying 50 points for the lowest total in meet history since 1998. They return three of their top-4 scorers from last year – Noel VanderWall, Ahna VanderWall (now Neideck) and Audrey Brinkuff.

Milligan (Tenn.) – runner-up last year after winning in 2021 – followed at No. 2 ahead of last year’s third-place finisher, College of Idaho. The remainder of the top-5 has The Master’s (Calif.) at No. 4 ahead of 2020 champion St. Francis (Ill.).
The 2023 NAIA Cross Country Championships are scheduled to be held Friday, November 17, at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in Vancouver, Washington.
