Most Outstanding Performers of the 2024 NCAA DIII Indoor T&F Championships

NEW ORLEANS – Outstanding Performers of the Championships from the 2024 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships were announced on Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Men’s honors went to Sam Blaskowski of UW-La Crosse and Joseph White of Carthage on the track and in the field, respectively, while Kendaee Wayt of Mount Union and Grace Alley of Loras stood out for the women in those same respective venues.

Each year, the USTFCCCA honors the Outstanding Performers of the Championships at both the NCAA DIII Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Winners are determined using a formula that adds together team points scored, plus meet records (five additional points), Division III seasonal bests (three additional points) and facility records (one point). Relay points, if applicable, are split equally among the four team members.

Blaskowski, the Most Outstanding Men’s Track Performer of the Championships, totaled 28 points using the above formula. He swept the 60- and 200-meter titles (20 points), equaled the meet record in the 60 of 6.66 in the prelims (five points) and set a season best in the 200 of 20.93 to win the event.

White, the Most Outstanding Men’s Field Performer of the Championships, totaled 18 points using the above formula. He won the weight throw and finished runner-up in the shot put.

Wayt, the Most Outstanding Women’s Track Performer of the Championships, totaled 34 using the above formula. She won both the 200- and 400-meter titles (20 points) with season bests of 24.10 and 54.72, respectively (six points), and took runner-up honors in the 60 (eight points).

Alley, the Most Outstanding Women’s Field Performer of the Championships, totaled 25 points using the above formula. She took home national titles in both the high jump and pentathlon, and finished fourth in the triple jump.
