2025 NAIA Cross Country National Awards

NEW ORLEANS – National Athletes and Coaches of the Year for the 2025 NAIA Cross Country season were announced on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the national championship meet.

Awards were voted on by member coaches based on results from both the 2025 NAIA Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, Florida, and during the regular season.

National Women's Athlete of the Year

Jaynie Halterman was named the 2025 NAIA Women’s Cross Country National Athlete of the Year. Halterman, who hails from Thompson’s Bridge, Tennessee, won the individual title at the 2025 NAIA Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, Florida. She crossed the finish line in a meet-record 20:13.2. Halterman ended the year undefeated against NAIA competitors, having won meet titles at the Crossroads League Championships, the Ray Bullock Invitational, and the Wildcat Twilight Invitational.

National Men's Athlete of the Year

Jack Anderson was named the 2025 NAIA Men’s Cross Country National Athlete of the Year. Anderson, who hails from Athens, Alabama, won the individual title at the 2025 NAIA Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, Florida. He crossed the finish line in 24:15.4. Anderson entered the meet on a winning note, having captured top individual honors at the GSAC Championships two weeks earlier. He also earned a victory at The Master’s (Calif.) Cross Country Invitational and was third at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational.

National Women's Coach of the Year

Quinn White was named the 2025 NAIA Women’s Cross Country National Coach of the Year. White, in his 16th year as head coach at Taylor (Ind.), led the Trojans to the team title at the 2025 NAIA Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, Florida. Taylor (Ind.) led at four of the five checkpoints, including the one that mattered most as it topped Dordt (Iowa), 90-109. Earlier in the season, the Trojans won team titles at the Crossroads League Championships, the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge, the Ray Bullock Invitational and the Indiana Wesleyan Wildcat Twilight Invitational.

National Men's Coach of the Year

Brody Beiler was named the 2025 NAIA Men’s Cross Country National Coach of the Year. Beiler, in his second year as head coach at Indiana Wesleyan, led the Wildcats to the team title at the 2025 NAIA Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, Florida. IWU ran a methodical race, surged into the lead by the 7k split and never looked back en route to an 11-point win over The Master’s (Calif.). Earlier in the season, the Wildcats won team titles at the Crossroads League Championships, the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge, the Ray Bullock Invitational, the Gans Creek Classic Open Division and the Indiana Wesleyan Wildcat Twilight Invitational.
