The T-Birds, who soared four spots from No. 5 to No. 1, added 11 national top-10 marks to their haul, including three of the top-5 spots in the 5000 – Awet Beraki (No. 2, 29:30.74), Edwin Kipainoi (No. 3, 32:33.33) and Linus Limo (No. 5, 33:05.39) – and three of the top-6 spots in the decathlon – Marcquiece Cade (No. 2, 5890), Andrew Betton (No. 5, 5543) and Renaldo Savoury (No. 6, 5511). Caden Bach also moved up to No. 1 in the javelin throw with his effort of 59.47m (195-2) this past weekend.

New Mexico JC moved up one spot from No. 3 to No. 2. Jalen Purcell also stood out this past weekend in the 200 with his NJCAA No. 2 effort of 20.89c (20.82A).

Barton County CC dropped one spot from No. 2 to No. 3 to no fault of its own. The Cougars have 21 national top-10 marks, of which they added or improved 11 this past weekend. Shakwon Coke added the triple jump national lead to his tally with a 15.60m (51-2¼) effort this past weekend (Coke already led the nation in the long jump).

Former No. 1 South Plains (Texas) fell three spots to No. 4 despite a strong weekend. The Texans were led by Khaleb McRae and Seydi Sall, as they notched the top 400-meter mark (46.29) and 800-meter mark (1:51.70) this season so far, respectively. South Plains (Texas) now has 20 national top-10 marks in 2021, including five national leaders.
