Cross Country Polls & Rankings
Jefferson’s “history” as a cross country program is just one year old. But their position atop the rankings is easily understood as the Vikings – runners-up in last year’s national championships – return all seven runners from that debut squad that was led by a pair of top-10 finishers in Reagan Edwards (ninth) and Lauren Hartman (10th).
No. 2 Mineral Area (Mo.) was third last year after being runners-up in 2022. The Cardinals return just one runner from that team in Grace Bone, who was 30th.
DuPage (Ill.) is No. 3 and return four scorers from last year’s seventh-place team, led by third-place finisher Carmen Solis.
Two-time defending champion Harper (Ill.) is No. 4. The Hawks have several newcomers to go along with two returners, twins Claudia and Isabella Wojciechowski (23rd and 44th, respectively, last year).
No. 5 Joliet (Ill.) JC didn’t have a complete team last year. Adrienne Karpen is the Wolves top returner.
Rounding out the top-10 are No. 6 Suffolk County (N.Y.) CC, No. 7 Kellogg (Mich.) CC, No. 8 RCSJ Gloucester (N.J.), No. 9 FIT (N.Y.) and No. 10 Mohawk Valley (N.Y.) CC.
