Joseph Kalnas was named the National Men’s Assistant Coach of the Year for the 2022 NJCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season. Kalnas, in his 16th year at Rowan-Gloucester (N.J.) CC, guided the Roadrunners to a sensational effort at the NJCAA DIII Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Rowan-Gloucester throwers scored 44 points behind a trio of scorers in three different events: first, fifth and seventh in the hammer; second, third and eighth in the shot put; third, fifth and seventh in the discus. During the regular season, Kalnas saw his athletes rank among the top-10 nationally in the discus, hammer and shot put.
