Khaleb McRae, South Plains (Texas): 2021 NJCAA Men’s Indoor Track & Field National Track Athlete of the Year

McRae, a sophomore from Dallas, Texas, provided a huge spark to the Texans’ championship-winning team this past weekend in Pittsburg, Kansas. He scored 20 points with a victory in the 600 (1:17.71) and runner-up efforts in the 400 (46.71) and as part of the 4×400 relay (3:10.18). Not only that, but McRae also etched his name into the NJCAA record book during the meet as well: McRae is now the seventh-best performer in NJCAA history in both the 600 (1:17.71) and the 400 with his 46.42 effort from the preliminary rounds.
