
Tabarie Henry was named the National Women’s Assistant Coach of the Year for the 2022 NJCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field season. Henry, in his third year as assistant coach at New Mexico JC, saw his athletes score more than 60 percent of the Thunderbirds’ 98 points at the NJCAA DI Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Hutchinson, Kansas. NMJC ended up finishing runner-up to Iowa Western CC in the team standings. During the regular season, Henry guided the T-Bird 100-meter hurdles to the No. 1 national #EventSquad Ranking and the 100- and 200-meter sprinters topped the #EventSquad list in the West Region.
