Douglas Marshall was named the National Women’s Coach of the Year for the 2022 NJCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field season. Marshall, in his fourth year at Iowa Western CC, led the Reivers to their first team title at the NJCAA DI Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Hutchinson, Kansas, scoring 117 points, 19 more than runner-up New Mexico JC. Iowa Western CC captured six events titles, including three from Hilda Chebet. During the regular season, the Reivers won the team title at the Region XI Championships and topped the National TFRI in each of the last four weeks of the campaign (Week 4, Week 5, Week 6 and Week 7).
