Zouhair Talbi was named the NAIA Men’s Indoor Track & Field National Scholar Track Athlete of the Year. Talbi, who maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.398, scored 30 points at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships, winning the mile (4:07.27), 3000 meters (8:17.67) and 5000 meters (14:28.39). It was the first such triple by a man or woman in meet history. This is the first time that an athlete from Oklahoma City has been named National Scholar Track Athlete of the Year for the indoor season.
