At The Midway Mark, Abilene Christian, Grand Valley State Still Are Chart Toppers
NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announces the association’s week four National Team Computer Rankings for the 2011 outdoor track & field season in NCAA Division II. Unlike their NCAA Division I brethren, the D-II top teams survived relatively unscathed from the traditional "moving week". Moving week being, week four, where preseason data is thrown out (except for combined events) and only current season marks are used to give teams a ranking score.
Abilene Christian’s men and Grand Valley State’s women stayed at their top posts for another week. Saint Augustine’s men continue to creep up the chart and now stand at a season-best No. 2, just five ranking points behind ACU.
