Qualifiers Announced For 2019 NCAA DI Cross Country Championships!
Qualifying individuals and teams for the 2019 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships were announced on Saturday by the NCAA.
From The USTFCCCA InfoZone: National Championships Central
We already knew what teams automatically punched their tickets to Terre Haute, Indiana, next Saturday for the biggest meet of the season, based on their top-2 finishes at the respective regional championship meets this past Friday.
But those individuals and teams hoping for at-large berths had to wait until today.
That wait is over as the NCAA announced the full field to the championship competition.
After clicking that link, you’ll see that 94 different institutions will be represented at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, 43 of which had a team that qualified either automatically or through the at-large process.
Parse it down further and 19 of those 43 institutions had both the men’s and women’s programs earn a chance to win a national title, which includes Arkansas, Boise State, BYU, Colorado, Florida State, Furman, Harvard, Indiana, Michigan, NC State, Notre Dame, Northern Arizona, Ole Miss, Oregon, Stanford, Texas, Tulsa, Villanova and Wisconsin.
