

2021 NJCAA DII Women’s Cross Country National Coaches’ Poll – Week 3
NEW ORLEANS – Jostling was everywhere in the top-10 except at the very top of the Week 3 NJCAA Division II Women’s Cross Country National Coaches’ Poll, released Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Heartland (Ill.) CC continues its reign as a unanimous No. 1, while Lansing (Mich.) CC inched ahead of Cowley (Kan.) for the No. 2 position.
The 2021 NJCAA Division II Cross Country Championships are set for Saturday, November 13, at Pole Green Park in Richmond, Virginia.

Heartland (Ill.) CC extended its first-ever visit at No. 1 after winning its own Heartland Invitational with a perfect score of 15 points. Olivia Bloyd, who was 12th in last year’s NJCAA Division II Championships, won the individual title at the Hawks’ home meet for her first outright victory of the year.
Moving up two positions to No. 2 is Lansing (Mich.) CC. The Stars were the leading JUCO team with a second-place finish at the Lansing Invitational. Freshman Haley Ellis won the individual title for her second outright victory this fall.
Defending national champion Cowley (Kan.) is No. 3, just a point behind Lansing CC. The Tigers were highest-finishing NJCAA Division II program in the Chile Pepper Festival’s open race, finishing behind only Cloud County (Kan.) CC, which is ranked No. 6 in the NJCAA Division I. Karissa Glover, who was 11th in last year’s NJCAA Division II Championships, was the top individual for any JUCO team.
Wallace State (Ala.) CC is No. 4. The Lions haven’t competed since winning the Topper Trails Classic on September 23. Macie Ellis is the squad’s top runner.
Daytona State (Fla.) CC is No. 5, the highest in program history. The Falcons were the top JUCO team in the UCF Invitational, with Juliet St. Angelo earning team-high honors.
Completing the top-10: No. 6 Hawkeye (Iowa) CC, No. 7 Grand Rapids (Mich.) CC, No. 8 Mesa (Ariz.) CC, No. 9 Paradise Valley (Ariz.) CC and No. 10 UA Rich Mountain (Ark.).
