About the Role:

The USTFCCCA is seeking a talented and creative Communications Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in graphic design, content production, and excellent communication skills. As a Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for creating visually engaging designs for the association’s annual convention, press releases, social media, and website, as well as maintaining relationships with the nation’s sports information contacts.

Responsibilities:

1. Graphic Design:
   – Develop creative designs for the association’s annual convention, including event promotional materials, signage, and presentations.
   – Create and update templates for weekly press releases and special occasions for use in social media and on the association’s website.
   – Design and update graphics for use in broadcasts of special events and award programs.

2. Content Production:
   – Co-produce press releases and research materials for the association’s award programs and weekly polls/rankings.
   – Assist with website maintenance, including building and updating the association’s convention information portal.

3. Outreach and Relationship Management:
   – Connect with sports information contacts across the nation, soliciting materials for use in association projects and maintaining an updated contact list.
   – Foster and maintain strong relationships with sports information contacts to ensure a continuous flow of relevant content for association initiatives.

Qualifications:

– 2+ years of experience in graphic design and content production, preferably within the sports industry.
– Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other graphic design tools.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills.
– Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
– Passion for sports, particularly track and field and cross country, is a plus.
