Preferred Cross Country Entry Fees
As in 2011, the Division I and II Cross Country Executive Committees of the USTFCCCA once again ask every USTFCCCA member institution who hosts a regular-season 2012 collegiate Cross Country meet to continue adjustments to the entry fee structure of their Cross Country meets. The continuing goal of this initiative is to encourage greater support for the sport of Cross Country by building membership in the USTFCCCA.
For meets that did not participate in this initiative in 2011, the Executive Committees request that meet hosts implement this adjustment by raising their regular entry fee by $50. In addition, the Executive Committees request that meet hosts offer a preferred entry fee to USTFCCCA members, equal to your previous entry fee. For example, if you plan to charge an entry fee of $110, they recommend that you raise your regular entry fee to $160 and offer a preferred entry fee for USTFCCCA members of $110.
In 2011, we received positive feedback from coaches who were able to gain the support of their athletic department staff to join the USTFCCCA in order to receive the preferred entry rates.
We hope that if every meet hosted by a USTFCCCA member restructures their entry fees in this way, the remaining few programs who do not have institutional support to join the USTFCCCA will gain support to become USTFCCCA members in order to receive the preferred entry rates.
