NEW ORLEANS — The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the All-Region honorees for the 2016 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field season on Monday.
To be named All-Region, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-5 of an individual event in the region according to final TFRRS data or be part of a top-3 relay team.

When it comes to hauling in All-Region honors, no one was better than Melanie Winter of Baldwin Wallace. Winters earned six nods thanks to her efforts in the 100, 200, 100 hurdles, 4×100 relay, high jump and long jump.
Five different athletes took home five All-Region awards — three women (Cal Lutheran’s Amanda Hamilton, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps’ Aiyanna Cameron-Lewis and Nebraska Wesleyan’s Katie Krick) and two men (Monmouth (Ill.)’s James Wilson and SUNY Oneonta’s Joe Carr).
The most All-Region honors by team went to the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps women as they earned 26, two more than the runner-up Nebraska Wesleyan (24). Coming a close third with 22 nods were three teams (MIT’s men and Mount Union’s men) as well as the Emory women.
Three other programs earned 20 or more awards — the UW-La Crosse women and the men of MIT and Mount Union.
