2019 NCAA Division III Cross Country All-Region
NEW ORLEANS – All-Region honors for the 2019 NCAA Division III Cross Country season were recognized on Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following Regional Championships Saturday.
A total of 280 men and 280 women from 155 different institutions earned the distinction by finishing among the top-35 runners at one of eight regional sites across the country.
There were a total of 11 programs with seven All-Region honorees.
Seven of those 11 programs were men’s squads, including Atlantic Region champion SUNY Geneseo, Mideast Region champion Carnegie Mellon, Midwest Region champion North Central (Ill.), New England Region champion Williams, South/Southeast Region champion Emory, West Region champion Pomona-Pitzer and West Region runner-up Claremont-Mudd-Scripps
That means the four remaining programs are women’s teams: Central Region champion Wartburg, Midwest Region champion Washington (Mo.), Midwest Region runner-up UChicago and West Region runner-up Pomona-Pitzer.
Eleven more teams had six All-Region honorees as they stacked the top-35s.
On a conference level, no league had more All-Region honorees than the UAA with 59. The SCIAC finished with 47, while the NESCAC was the only other conference with more than 40 at 46. Both the MIAC (38) and the Liberty League (32) were within shouting distance.
