

2019 NCAA Division I Cross Country All-Region
NEW ORLEANS – All-Region honors for the 2019 NCAA Division I Cross Country season were recognized on Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following Regional Championships Friday.
A total of 225 men and 225 women from 139 different institutions earned the distinction by finishing among the top-25 runners at one of nine regional sites across the country.

The only team in the nation with seven All-Region honorees was the Arkansas women. The top-ranked Razorbacks notched a perfect score at the South Central Regional Championships behind Taylor Werner, Katie Izzo, Carina Viljoen, Devin Clark and Maddy Reed going 1-2-3-4-5, as well as Quinn Owen and Adoette Vaughan finishing 13th and 25th, respectively.
Five men’s teams and five women’s teams had six All-Region honorees each. Those men’s teams were Mountain Region champion Northern Arizona, South Central champion Texas, West Region champion Portland, Midwest Region runner-up Iowa State and South Central runner-up Arkansas, while those women’s teams were South Region champion Florida State, Southeast Region champion NC State, Great Lakes runner-up Michigan, South Central runner-up Texas and West Region runner-up Washington.
On a conference level, the ACC had the most All-Region honorees for the second year in a row with 59. Athletes from the Big Ten combined for 54, while the SEC (52), Pac-12 (40) and Big 12 (31) followed behind.
