

2022 NCAA Division II Women’s Cross Country All-Academic Athletes
NEW ORLEANS – The Women’s Scholar Athlete of the Year and All-Academic Athletes for the 2022 NCAA Division II Cross Country season were announced on Thursday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Stephanie Cotter of Adams State was named the National Women’s Scholar Athlete of the Year for the 2022 NCAA Division II Cross Country season. Cotter, a graduate student, who hails from Cork, Ireland, won the individual title at the 2022 NCAA DII Cross Country Championships in University Place, Washington. That was Cotter’s second career individual title at the meet, adding to the one she captured in 2019.
Overall, there were 417 women from 124 different institutions who were named All-Academic Athletes for their efforts during the 2022 season.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-30 percent of their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.
