

2023 NCAA Division II Women’s Cross Country All-Academic Athletes
NEW ORLEANS – The Women’s Scholar Athlete of the Year and All-Academic Athletes for the 2023 NCAA Division II Cross Country season were announced on Thursday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Lindsay Cunningham of Winona State was named the Women’s Scholar Athlete of the Year for the 2023 NCAA Division II Cross Country season. Cunningham, who hails from Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin, and majors in movement science, won the individual title at the 2023 NCAA DII Cross Country Championships in Joplin, Missouri. This is the first time in program history that an athlete from Winona State has been named Women’s Scholar Athlete of the Year for the cross country season.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-30 percent of their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.
