Cross Country Polls & Rankings
Northern Arizona remains the unanimous No. 1 pick with eleven first-place votes as the Lumberjacks rolled to a historic 15-point score at the Big Sky Championships. ACC champion NC State stays steadfast in No. 2 after its eighth consecutive ACC title. Big 12 champion BYU, which is now ranked No. 3, enjoyed a smashing debut in the Big 12 Championships, claiming the team title by a four-point margin from defending champion Oklahoma State. Big East champion Georgetown comes in at No. 4, and Oklahoma State returns to the top-5 at No. 5.
Florida rises to No. 6 after its first SEC title since 2012. Pac-12 rivals Stanford and Washington are No. 7 and No. 8, respectively, despite an opposite result at the final edition of the Pac-12 Championships: the Huskies won the team title thanks to three athletes in the top-10, while the Cardinal was runner-up. ACC runner-up Notre Dame takes No. 9 and Virginia spends another week in the No. 10 position.
Other notable changes include: No. 13 Colorado (third at PAC-12 Championships), No. 15 Tennessee (third at SEC Championships), and No. 22 Utah Valley (won the WAC crown over previously-ranked No. 12 CBU).
Mark your calendars for Saturday, November 18, because that’s when the 2023 NCAA DI Cross Country Championships will be held at Panorama Farms in Charlottesville, Virginia.
