2025 NJCAA Division III Cross Country National Awards

National Women's Athlete of the Year

Laney Vecchio was named the 2025 NJCAA DIII Women’s Cross Country National Athlete of the Year. Vecchio, who hails from Williamstown, New Jersey, captured the individual title at the 2025 NJCAA DIII Cross Country Championships this past weekend in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The RCSJ Gloucester (N.J.) star crossed the finish line in 20:20.5, more than 12 seconds faster than the runner-up. It was the second win in two races this season for Vecchio, whose only other contest this season came in winning the Region 19 Championships two weeks earlier.

National Men's Athlete of the Year

Paul Clark was named the 2025 NJCAA DIII Men’s Cross Country National Athlete of the Year. Clark, who hails from Baldwinsville, New York, captured the individual title at the 2025 NJCAA DIII Cross Country Championships this past weekend in Fort Dodge, Iowa. The Onondaga (N.Y.) CC star crossed the finish line in 26:50.0, nearly eight seconds ahead of the runner-up. It was the third victory of the season for Clark, who was the top NJCAA DIII athlete in all six races in which he competed.

National Women's Coach of the Year

Mallory Dominguez was named the 2025 NJCAA DIII Women’s Cross Country National Coach of the Year. Dominguez coached College of DuPage (Ill.) to the team title at the 2025 NJCAA DIII Cross Country Championships this past weekend in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Led by individual third-place finisher Jessica Balmer, the Chaps tallied 56 points as all five scorers were in the top-19. Earlier this season, DuPage was also runner-up at the Region 4 Championships with 30 points.

National Men's Coach of the Year

Jim Macnider was named the 2025 NJCAA DIII Men’s Cross Country National Coach of the Year. Macnider coached Harper (Ill.) to the team title at the 2025 NJCAA DIII Cross Country Championships this past weekend in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Led by the 4-5 finish of Sebastian Welc and Ryan Golden, the Hawks tallied 55 points with all five scorers in the top-20. Earlier this season, Harper also won the team title at the Region 4 Championships with 32 points.
