
Princess Kara was named the National Women’s Field Athlete of the Year for the 2022 NJCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field season. Kara, who hails from Port Harcourt, Nigeria, scored 18 points at the NJCAA DI Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Hutchinson, Kansas, winning the discus with an NJCAA-record heave of 56.51m (185-5) and taking runner-up honors in the shot put. She ended the year with three of the top-4 marks in NJCAA history in the discus: No. 1 (56.51m/185-5) and No. 2 (56.23m/184-6), both accomplished at the NJCAA Championships, as well as the No. 4 mark of 55.57m (182-4), established at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
