

2019 NCAA DIII Cross Country Regional Rankings – Week 5
NEW ORLEANS – A slow week meant minimal changes to the NCAA Division III Cross Country Regional Rankings.
There were no changes to seven of the eight regions in the Men’s Regional Rankings, while six of the eight regions were unscathed in the Women’s Regional Rankings.
Remember: The eight NCAA Division III Regional Championships will be held across the nation on Saturday, November 16.
Men’s Story
Atlantic Region
There was a slight change to the order of the top-5 teams in the Atlantic Region between Week 4 and Week 5.
SUNY Geneseo and RPI still headline the chart at No. 1 and No. 2, while Ithaca and NYU sit No. 3 and No. 4 – but St. Lawrence jumped from No. 7 to No. 5 after a strong weekend. The Saints finished runner-up to the aforementioned Bombers at the 28th Annual Richard C. Hoffmann Invitational.
Central Region
There was no change to the order of the top-5 teams in the Central Region between Week 4 and Week 5.
Wartburg and St. Olaf are still No. 1 and No. 2, while Carleton, Luther and Loras sit No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
Great Lakes Region
There was no change to the order of the top-5 teams in the Great Lakes Region between Week 4 and Week 5.
Otterbein and Calvin are still No. 1 and No. 2, while John Carroll, Case Western Reserve and Trine sit No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
Mideast Region
There was no change to the order of the top-5 teams in the Mideast Region between Week 4 and Week 5.
Carnegie Mellon and Johns Hopkins are still No. 1 and No. 2, while Dickinson, Haverford and Elizabethtown sit No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
Midwest Region
There was no change to the order of the top-5 teams in the Midwest Region between Week 4 and Week 5.
North Central (Ill.) and Washington (Mo.) are still No. 1 and No. 2, while UChicago, UW-La Crosse and UW-Stevens Point sit No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
New England Region
There was no change to the order of the top-5 teams in the New England Region between Week 4 and Week 5.
Williams and MIT are still No. 1 and No. 2, while Bates, Amherst and Middlebury sit No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
South/Southeast Region
There was no change to the order of the top-5 teams in the South/Southeast Region between Week 4 and Week 5.
Berea (Ky.) and Emory are still No. 1 and No. 2, while Washington and Lee, Lynchburg and Olgethorpe sit No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
West Region
There was no change to the order of the top-5 teams in the West Region between Week 4 and Week 5.
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer are still No. 1 and No. 2, while UC Santa Cruz, Colorado College and Occidental sit No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
Women’s Story
Atlantic Region
There was a slight change to the order of the top-5 teams in the Atlantic Region between Week 4 and Week 5.
SUNY Geneseo and RPI are still No. 1 and No. 2, but now No. 3 Rochester (N.Y.) swapped spots with now No. 4 RIT based on its head-to-head victory this past weekend at the 28th Annual Ronald C. Hoffman Invitational. Vassar remained at No. 5 for another week.
Central Region
There was no change to the order of the top-5 teams in the Central Region between Week 4 and Week 5.
Wartburg and Carleton are still No. 1 and No. 2, while St. Thomas (Minn.), St. Olaf and Loras sit No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
Great Lakes Region
There was no change to the order of the top-5 teams in the Great Lakes Region between Week 4 and Week 5.
Oberlin and Hope are still No. 1 and No. 2, while Baldwin Wallace, John Carroll and Case Western Reserve sit No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
Mideast Region
There was no change to the order of the top-5 teams in the Mideast Region between Week 4 and Week 5.
Johns Hopkins and Dickinson are still No. 1 and No. 2, while Swarthmore, Carnegie Mellon and Messiah sit No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
Midwest Region
There was a slight change to the order of the top-5 teams in the Midwest Region between Week 4 and Week 5.
UChicago and Washington (Mo.) are still No. 1 and No. 2, while UW-Eau Claire and Elmhurst are No. 3 and No. 4, but No. 5 UW-Oshkosh swapped spots with now No. 6 UW-Stevens Point after its head-to-head victory this past weekend at the Gene Davis Invitational.
New England Region
There was a slight change to the order of the top-5 teams in the New England Region between Week 4 and Week 5.
Tufts and Williams are still No. 1 and No. 2, while MIT and Middlebury remained No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, but Wesleyan (Conn.) leapfrogged Coast Guard into the No. 5 spot.
South/Southeast Region
There was no change to the order of the top-5 teams in the South/Southeast Region between Week 4 and Week 5.
Centre and Emory are still No. 1 and No. 2, while Washington and Lee, Rhodes and Trinity (Texas) sit No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
West Region
There was no change to the order of the top-5 teams in the West Region between Week 4 and Week 5.
Pomona-Pitzer and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps are still No. 1 and No. 2, while UC Santa Cruz, Occidental and Whitman sit No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
