

2022 NCAA Division III Women’s Cross Country All-Academic Athletes
NEW ORLEANS – The Women’s Scholar Athlete of the Year and All-Academic Athletes for the 2022 NCAA Division III Cross Country season were announced on Thursday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Kassie Parker of Loras was named the Women’s Scholar Athlete of the Year for the 2022 NCAA Division III Cross Country season. Parker, who hails from Guttenberg, Iowa, and majors in Coaching Leadership, won the individual title at the 2022 NCAA DIII Cross Country Championships in East Lansing, Michigan. This is the second year in a row that Parker has been named the Women’s Scholar Athlete of the Year, making her the first athlete to do so since Sarah Zerzan of Willamette in 2006 and 2007.
Overall, there were 383 women from 137 different institutions who were named All-Academic Athletes for their efforts during the 2022 season.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, student athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 percent of their respective regional championship meet.
