

2024 NAIA Women’s Indoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 1
NEW ORLEANS – The indoor season has begun!
Here is the Week 1 edition of the NAIA Women’s Indoor Track & Field National Rating Index, as released Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). No marks from previous seasons have been used, which means this objective list is compiled solely of current marks from the 2024 indoor track & field season.

The streak continues. Indiana Tech is No. 1 for the 37th-straight time – that’s every No. 1 since the NAIA TFRI began in 2018. The Warriors, who have won the last three NAIA Indoor titles, have 15 top-10 marks and lead the nation in five events: Soyinne Grenyion in the 200 (23.80), Lisa Voyles in the 600 (1:32.35), Kiya Pogue in the 60 hurdles (8.42), Evelyn Dolce in the pole vault (3.95m/12-11½) and the 4×400 relay (3:52.97).
William Carey (Miss.) is No. 2 – their highest season opener and tying their program best. The Crusaders have top-10 marks and lead the nation in three events: Machaeda Linton in the long jump (5.99m/19-8) and triple jump (12.71m/41-8½) along with Joy Abu in the 60 (7.43).
At No. 3 is Concordia (Neb.), rating among the top-3 for the sixth-straight year. The Bulldogs lead the nation with 19 top-10 marks, led by its 4×800 relay team that earned M-F National Athlete of the Week honors with Jenna Esch, Kylahn Freiberg, Julie McIntyre and Rylee Haecker.
Reaching a program-best of No. 4 is Central Methodist (Mo.). The Eagles have eight top-10 marks, led by national leader in the shot put Baylee Beard (14.99m/49-2¼).
Also setting a program best is Milligan (Tenn.) at No. 5. The Buffaloes have seven top-10 marks including national leaders Ellen-Mary Kearney in the 1000 (2:56.57) and Caitlin Dominy in the 3000 (9:45.13).
Completing the top-10 teams in the national TFRI are No. 6 Cumberlands (Ky.), No. 7 Saint Xavier (Ill.), No. 8 Cumberland (Tenn.), No. 9 Dickinson State (N.D.) and No. 10 Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) – all reaching program highs (a tie for Olivet Nazarene).
