NEW ORLEANS – Here are our Regional Athletes & Coaches of the Year for the 2024 NJCAA DIII Cross Country season.
Men’s Athlete of the Year
CENTRAL REGION — Kevin Diederich — DuPage (Ill.)
Diederich won the individual title at the Region 4 Championships in 26:19.7.
EAST REGION — Wyatt Tomison — Thaddeus Stevens (Pa.)
Tomison won the individual title at the Region 19 Championships in 24:37.
NORTHEAST REGION — Alexander Bento — Suffolk County (N.Y.) CC
Bento won the individual title at the Region 15 Championships in 29:08.3.
Men’s Coach of the Year
CENTRAL REGION — Mallory Dominguez — DuPage (Ill.)
Dominguez led the Chaps to the team title at the Region 4 Championships with 26 points.
EAST REGION — Ryan Hughes — RCSJ Gloucester (N.J.)
Hughes led the Roadrunners to the team title at the Region 19 Championships with 37 points.
NORTHEAST REGION — Matthew French — Suffolk County (N.Y.) CC
French led the Sharks to the Region 15 team title.
Women’s Athlete of the Year
CENTRAL REGION — Isabella Wojciechowski — Harper (Ill.)
Wojciechowski won the individual title at the Region 4 Championships in 18:55.5.
EAST REGION — Peri Rhodes — Oxford (Ga.)
Rhodes posted the fastest time in the East Region all year long at 20:45.
NORTHEAST REGION — Olivia Corabi — FIT (N.Y.)
Corabi won the individual title at the Region 15 Championships in 20:46.4.
Women’s Coach of the Year
CENTRAL REGION — Jim Macnider — Harper (Ill.)
Macnider led the Hawks to the team title at the Region 4 Championships with 28 points.
EAST REGION — Ryan Hughes — RCSJ Gloucester (N.J.)
Hughes led the Roadrunners to the team title at the Region 19 Championships with 20 points.
NORTHEAST REGION — Howard Lindsay — FIT (N.Y.)
Lindsay led the Tigers to the Region 15 team title.
