DuPage (Ill.) and defending champ Harper (Ill.) continue to flip-flop the No. 1 and No. 2 positions ahead of their first head-to-head meeting at Friday’s Bradley Pink Classic.
The Chaps are back on top after a strong showing at the Seminole Valley Classic a week ago, even topping a couple of higher-division JUCO programs as Kevin Diederich earned M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week honors for the second time this year.
The Hawks were the leading NJCAA team at the Gene Davis Invitational, with Owen Whelan – a three-time M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week this fall – leading the way for Harper.
Joliet (Ill.) JC continues at No. 3. The Wolves have not competed the last two weeks.
Kellogg (Mich.) CC repeats its program-best No. 4. The Bruins impressed at the Muskegon Jayhawk Invitational as the leading NJCAA DIII team with Julian Borst being named M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week.
Remaining No. 5 is Mineral Area (Mo.). The Cardinals were led by Anthony Tragesser’s seventh-place finish at the non-scored Principia North Farm Twilight.
Rounding out the top-10 are No. 6 RCSJ Gloucester (N.J.), No. 7 Brookdale (N.J.) CC, No. 8 Onondaga (N.Y.) CC, No. 9 Suffolk County (N.Y.) CC and No. 10 Patrick & Henry (Va.) CC.
There’s just over three weeks until the 2024 NJCAA Division III Cross Country Championships will be held on Saturday, November 9, at Pole Green Park near Richmond, Virginia.
