

2019 NCAA DI Men’s Cross Country Regional Rankings – Week 3
NEW ORLEANS – There is one new No. 1 team in the newest NCAA Division I Men’s Cross Country Regional Rankings that were released on Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Otherwise, it was another slow week as there was minimal shifting in the ranks due to minimal intraregional racing.

Great Lakes Region
There weren’t any changes among the top-5 teams of the Great Lakes Region between Week 2 and Week 3.
No. 1 Wisconsin and No. 2 Notre Dame are both still favored to earn automatic bids to NCAAs, while Michigan, Indiana and Purdue sit No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
Mid-Atlantic Region
There weren’t any changes among the top-5 teams of the Mid-Atlantic Region between Week 2 and Week 3.
No. 1 Princeton and No. 2 Villanova are both still favored to earn automatic bids to NCAAs, while Temple, Penn and Navy sit No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
Midwest Region
There was a slight change among the top-5 teams of the Midwest Region between Week 2 and Week 3.
No. 1 Iowa State and No. 2 Oklahoma State are both still favored to earn automatic bids to NCAAs and Tulsa remained at No. 3, but Bradley jumped to No. 4 and Iowa comes in at No. 5.
Both the Braves and Hawkeyes didn’t compete this past weekend, but looked strong their last time out. Bradley won the Bradley Intercollegiate going away, while Iowa rolled to a team title at the Greeno/Dirksen Invitational.
Mountain Region
There weren’t any changes among the top-5 teams of the Mountain Region between Week 2 and Week 3.
No. 1 Northern Arizona and No. 2 BYU are both still favored to earn automatic bids to NCAAs, while Colorado, Colorado State and Wyoming sit No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
Northeast Region
There weren’t any changes among the top-5 teams of the Northeast Region between Week 2 and Week 3.
No. 1 Syracuse and No. 2 Iona are both still favored to earn automatic bids to NCAAs, while Army West Point, Stony Brook and Harvard sit No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
South Region
There weren’t any changes among the top-5 teams of the South Region between Week 2 and Week 3.
No. 1 Ole Miss and No. 2 Middle Tennessee are both still favored to earn automatic bids to NCAAs, while Florida State, Alabama and Belmont sit No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
South Central Region
There weren’t any changes among the top-5 team of the South Central Region between Week 2 and Week 3.
No. 1 Arkansas and No. 2 Texas are both still favored to earn automatic bids to NCAAs, while Texas A&M, Rice and North Texas sit No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively.
Southeast Region
There were a few changes among the top-5 teams of the Southeast Region between Week 2 and Week 3.
Virginia leapfrogged NC State into the No. 1 spot after its win at the Panorama Farms Invitational. The Cavaliers rolled to a 35-82 victory over Michigan State and put its entire scoring lineup in the top-10.
The Wolfpack dropped to No. 2 ahead of No. 3 Eastern Kentucky and No. 4 Virginia Tech, while Duke jumped Furman into the No. 5 spot. The Blue Devils cruised to the team title at the Roy Griak Invitational this past weekend, scoring the second fewest points in the past 15 years.
West Region
There weren’t any changes among the top-5 teams of the West Region between Week 2 and Week 3.
Washington and Portland remain at No. 1 and No. 2, while Stanford, Oregon and UCLA sit No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. The Ducks and the Bruins went head to head at the Bill Dellinger Invitational this past weekend with the former coming out on top and winning the team title.
