

2021 NCAA Division II Men’s Cross Country All-Academic Teams
NEW ORLEANS – The Men’s Scholar Team of the Year and All-Academic Teams for the 2021 NCAA Division II Cross Country season were announced on Thursday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Grand Valley State was named the Men’s Scholar Team of the Year for the 2021 NCAA Division II Cross Country season. The Lakers, who maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.279, won the team title at the 2021 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships in Saint Leo, Florida. This is the first time in program history that Grand Valley State has been named Men’s Scholar Team of the year in cross country.
Overall, there were 98 different programs who were named All-Academic Teams for their efforts during the 2021 season. No team posted a better cumulative GPA than University of the Sciences.
In order to qualify for All-Academic distinction, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period and compile a team score at their respective regional championship meet, among other qualifiers.
