Here is the newest edition of the 2022 NCAA Division II Men’s Outdoor Track & Field National Rating Index released by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Tuesday. Only marks from the current season are being used, which gives a comprehensive, objective look at which teams have stood out during the season.

There were no changes among the top teams in the National TFRI: West Texas A&M finds itself at No. 1 for the sixth-straight week, while No. 2 Grand Valley State, No. 3 Texas A&M-Commerce, No. 4 Pittsburg State and No. 5 Adams State follow suit.
The top-ranked Buffs added five new or improved national top-10 marks to its resume at the WT Last Chance Meet. No one was better than Jahmaal Wilson, who took over the national lead in the 110H in 13.35 to break a 28-year-old NCAA DII record. Bassem Hemeida also starred in the hurdles, moving to No. 2 on the Descending Order List in the 400H (49.69).
The second-ranked Lakers picked up three new or improved national top-10 efforts, with two of them residing at No. 2 on the Descending Order List: Eli Kosiba cleared 2.21m (7-3) in the high jump at the GVSU 10 Event-Last Chance; Myles Kerner recorded a distance of 19.57m (64-2½) at the Lee University Last Chance, also moving to No. 14 on the NCAA DII all-time chart.
The third-ranked Lions and the fifth-ranked Grizzlies added national top-10 performances to their ledgers. Delan Edwin of Texas A&M-Commerce turned in a season-best in the 200 (No. 2, 20.22) at the WT Last Chance Meet. Jonah Vigil of Adams State ran the nation’s sixth-best time in the 400 (46.54) at the CSU-Pueblo.
The fourth-ranked Gorillas did not add any new or improved national top-10 marks and will look to make some noise at the NCAA Championships.
Here are the rest of the top-10 teams in Week 8: No. 6 Central Missouri (unchanged), No. 7 Lincoln (Mo.) (unchanged), No. 8 Colorado School of Mines (up one spot), No. 9 Ashland (up two spots) and No. 10 Missouri Southern (down two spots).
