

2022 NCAA Division II Cross Country All-Region
NEW ORLEANS – All-Region honorees for the 2022 NCAA Division II Cross Country season were recognized on Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following Regional Championships Saturday.
A total of 200 men from 81 different programs and 200 women from 85 different programs earned the distinction of All-Region by virtue of a top-25 finish at one of the eight regional sites this past weekend. Only athletes from USTFCCCA member programs are eligible for awards.
Four men’s teams had all seven athletes earn All-Region honors: South Central Region champion Colorado School of Mines, South Region champion Lee (Tenn.), East Region champion Southern Connecticut and Southeast Region champion Wingate.
Five teams totaled six honorees from their respective squads: West Region champion Chico State on the men’s side; Atlantic Region champion Charleston (W.Va.), Midwest Region champion Grand Valley State, South Region champion Lee (Tenn.) and Southeast Region champion Wingate on the women’s side.
Lee (Tenn.) and Wingate lead all programs with 13 total honorees after sweeping the team titles in the South Region and Southeast Region, respectively.
On the conference level, the RMAC led the way with a combined 47 honored athletes. The Northeast-10 Conference and SAC are tied with the second-most athletes honored at 33. The PSAC (29), GSC (28) and GLIAC (25) finished with 25 or more as well.
Many of these athletes will compete at the 2022 NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships, which are set for next Friday, December 2 at Chambers Creek Regional Park in University Place, Washington.
