

2022 NJCAA DI Women’s Cross Country National Coaches’ Poll – Week 4
NEW ORLEANS – The top-3 remained stable among a top-10 that saw five changes in the Week 4 NJCAA Division I Women’s Cross Country National Coaches’ Poll, released on Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Cross Country Polls & Rankings
This is the final poll of the year before the 2022 NJCAA Division I Cross Country Championships, which are set for Saturday, November 12 at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida.
No. 1 continues to be College of Southern Idaho, which has been a near-unanimous selection all year. The Golden Eagles, reigning national champions, didn’t have a regional championships, but competed solidly as the top JUCO program at the Scenic West Invitational, deafeating No. 7 Salt Lake (Utah) CC. Audrey Camp was CSI’s top runner as the scoring five ran within 27.6 seconds of each other.
New Mexico JC repeats as No. 2, collecting the only first-place vote not given to Southern Idaho. The T-Birds won the Region V Championships with 25 points as defending national champion Faith Nyathi – M-F Athletic National Athlete of the Week for a second time year – won by 38 seconds. NMJC will be seeking a first-ever team crown – they were fourth last year and runner-up in 2019.
Hutchinson (Kan.) CC is No. 3 for the second-straight poll after winning the Region VI Championships, 54-62, over Cloud County CC, which moves up one position to No. 4. Region VI has eight members in the current rankings. Both programs are looking for first-ever Division I team titles – Cloud County has been runner-up the last two years while Hutchinson claimed the Division II crown in 2001.
Tying for No. 5 are El Paso (Texas) CC and Iowa Central CC, each returning to the top-5. The Tejanas were runner-up to New Mexico in the Region V Championships while Iowa Central edged No. 10 Iowa Western CC, 28-35, for the Region XI Championships title. The Tritons have seven national titles (most recently in 2019), while El Paso – third last year – will be looking for its first since 2014.
Rounding out the top-10 are No. 7 Salt Lake (Utah) CC, No. 8 Central Arizona, No. 9 Dodge City (Kan.) CC and No. 10 Iowa Western CC.
