

2023 NCAA DII Women’s Indoor Track & Field Rating Index – Week 2
NEW ORLEANS – Business is picking up.
Here is the second edition of the NCAA Division II Women’s Indoor Track & Field National TFRI, as released on Tuesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). No marks from previous seasons have been used, which means this objective list is compiled solely of current qualifying marks from the 2023 indoor track & field season.

Minnesota State and Grand Valley State remained at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. The Mavericks added one national top-10 performance to its season ledger. Amanda Montplaisir clocked the ninth-fastest time in the 5000 meters (16:54.00) at the Mark Schuck Open and Multi. The Lakers gained three new or improved national top-10 performances at the Bill Clinger Classic, with two residing in the top-3: Natalie Graber is the national leader in the mile at 4:44.98; Emma Richards improved to second in the shot put (15.41m/50-6¾).
Pittsburg State leapfrogged Northwest Missouri into the No. 3 spot. The Gorillas, who picked up three new or improved national top-10 marks, are led by a pair of No. 2s from Audreanae Hagan in the 60-meter hurdles (8.31) and Auna Childress in the triple jump (12.85m/42-2).
The Bearcats fell to No. 4 after failing to add or improve any top-10 marks.
Adams State climbed two spots into the fifth spot after their weekend hosting the Wes Lavong Open. Ava O’Connor and Emily Schoellkopf led the Grizzlies with top-10 marks in their respective events: O’Connor is ranked second in the 800 meters (2:09.63c); Schoellkopf is eighth in the mile (4:51.41c).
Here are the rest of the top-10 teams in Week 2: No. 6 Azusa Pacific, No. 7 Winona State, No. 8 West Texas A&M, No. 9 Lincoln (Mo.) and No. 10 Colorado School of Mines.
